cuda 5 bow headliner, rear most bow clip posisiton

5 bow cuda rear bow, the retaining clips, for the bow attach to the "strip with teeth" that screws to the inner body structure sides, and the headliner attached to.

my question is the clips that go onto the tooth strip that the ends of the bows rest in, do the clips go so the bow sits inside or outside of the teeth strip? it fits both ways, and the body is even stamped with a relief to allow the bow to be out. but all the other 4 bows mount inside.
any help would be great.

all right I pulled down this part of the headliner, as the bow height seems wrong, and from what I can tell is that this bow mounting clip either goes on the inside or outside of this tooth strip, neither position makes the headliner fit perfectly, but I don't want to have it the wrong way, also it seem the interior sail panels fit the best when the bow is mount on the outside of the tooth strip, but the curve doesn't match the headliner. on the flip side when the bow is placed on the inside it makes a bulge and the sail panel fits even worse but the headliner curve is closer. any ideas on how these were originally would be great help.

I believe it goes inside, if it is outside I think it would be visible as a bulge in the headliner.
