360 engines
« on: April 16, 2018 - 12:41:14 PM »
Is there a difference between a 360 truck engine and a car engine? Are the motor mounts the same? Is there a way to identify it if it's a truck engine by a casting number? Is there nay difference between the two engines? Thanks

This probably won't answer your question 100%, but there are major differences between the LA and Magnum 5.9 L engines. What year 360 are you interested in?

The engine is out of a 71 truck, according to the seller. Thanks

I believe oil pan and exhaust manifolds are the major differences, although I could be wrong on the exhaust manifolds.

You'll need a centre sump pan/pickup and the car mounts, but the block should be standard LA mount ears.
