What he said. It’s really not that much more expensive for the stock style. Less than $200

I know that  I am bringing up an older thread, but I just got off the phone with Dakota Digital, and they are coming out with a new set of gauges for our cars. They released a set last year in HDX series, which I was calling to see what it would cost to have them custom made to look more original. They said that the cost is $75 for the upgrade, but that they also had another option in the works. It will come as part of their Retro-Tech series. It will appear like stock gauges when not turned on, but will light up the digital portions when the car is running. I looked over some the other sets that they have out now, and they look great. He said 6 to 8 months (maybe longer) and cost will be $1,495 like the HDX series.

Guess better late than never, I personally talked to them at SEMA 2 years ago about this issue as a friend of mine (and fellow member here) had them do a custom set for him to look more like the originals. I told them that Mopar guys, especially E body guys would prefer the factory look. They were complete uninterested and said they had what they had. that said, my buddy loves his.
Current Mopar

Past Mopars

As much as I would like to say they listened to us Mopar owners, I believe that they are actually listening to the classic car community as a whole. The fact that they are already making this series for other cars points to a hole that their current line up was missing. They probably had enough request for custom gauges that looked more original across the board, that they figured that there was a real need/want for that kind of product. I was told that the B body gauge set will come before the E body, and E is slated for the last quarter.

They are nice but the clock is weak and they should have the colors for the tach (red line)

Well interesting news for sure but I hope it doesn’t make me regret the one I’ve already bought!
