Carbon Monoxide Bath

I am unable to find the source of a leak in my engine compartment. Im bathing in exhaust fumes. Help please... I've got a 383 with cast manifolds.
I'm thinking about draining the coolant and removing the exhaust manifolds & re-attaching them with some copper permatex... Then installing new collector gaskets. Any other ideas? My firewall is pretty well sealed.
The only thing I can think of is that the exhaust manifold flap on the passenger side is stuck open? What can I do to look into that working?

are you sure it's exhaust.
I have an oil leak from a valve cover that hits my pipes and makes it pretty hard to deal with when driving. Not smoke, but fumes is what I get out of it.
Just offering my opinion.

Are you sure it is coming from the engine compartment? I had that problem once and the exhaust was being sucked into the trunk and into the car due to a bad trunk seal.

Good call - I have replaced the trunk gasket... perhaps I should silicone the tail light housing as I know there is a little daylight there.

I ended up wiring my heat riser open. Much cleaner in the car now.
