Correct spark plug
« on: May 04, 2018 - 04:26:19 PM »
Hey guys, doing some tune up work to the ol girl. I pulled out Autolite 63. 340, electronic ignition, small cam, nothing crazy. Thoughts and opinons on what new plugs? switch to Champs? Stick with Autolites? whats the right plug to be running.  Many thanks guys!

I have always used Champion plugs in my Mopar's but I know others swear by Autolites. I did a test some years ago with different plugs in my 440 6 pack challenger and as I recall ended up using standard Champion plugs although as I recall the Platinum's did work well.
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

As I search its seems to lean towards Champions. Now which one? RJ12YC, RC12YC, N9YC, Ive seen all three of these being used.
