My 1974 barracuda
« on: May 28, 2018 - 12:27:25 AM »
Hi so this is my 1974 Barracuda.

I bought it from a friend that had it for 29 years, it was is first car and he bought it wen he was 18 in 1988 from he cousin.

Wen he got it she had a 318, column shifter, vinyl top, single exhaust, plane hood and no rear spoiler.
He took off the vinyl top because it was bubling, changed the rear valance put one with dual exhaust hole, a rear spoiler, a ram air hood a 340 .30 over, dual exhaust, long tube headers and flow master cat back.

It was painted 2 times, he took all the paint off right to the thin the 2 time he had it painted and always put it the original color, golden haze.
She as all original sheet metal minus the ram air hood.

She was last painted in 1996 and that is wen he changed the hood, install the rear spoiler and install the strob stickers on the side.
Then he parked it in the barn in 2002, then put back on the road in 2009 did two ride and parked it again at the end of 2010 and sat there till i got it out august 9 2017.

I always wanted this car so wen i heard it was for sale last summer i told him just wait, i will sell my 1987 mustang gt and all come get it.
So the mustang gt sold in 4 days and i rushed to my friends house with the money and a flat bed.

I told him yo must be sad to sell it and he told me now that i sold it to a friend i am not sad i am happy. He lost interest in it and needed the money.

So for now i did a tune up change all the fluid and changed the muffler because they busted and put some flowmaster super 44 delta force and now she sounds awesome.
Oh yea i had to put the interior back it because mouse made there way in the head liner so he took all of the interior out to see of there was mouse enywhere else and that gave me the chance to look at the floors and there is not a hole in it.

She as 2 or 3 little rust spot on the body maybe as big as a 25 cent and that is it.

He gave me a 440 that i need to go get and he is going to give me a dvd with all the work that as been done to her and i can see the donor car for the 340 engine.
The engine as only 20 000 miles on it since it was rebuilt, it as a 727 torqueflite and 3:23 gear 8:3/4 diff.

I need to change the steering box on it, a bearing in the column, the head liner and the bucket seat are craked that is why i have seat cover.

So here is some pictures of wen i got her and a couple of this hear.

The picture of us shaking hands well i am on the left he is the one with the long hair.

Hope you enjoyed my storie.

Sorry if they are some errors in my text, i am french and i am trying my best :)

Day late.  Nice catch. These are the ones that many ignore.  F the got to be correct people.  Enjoy the ride.  U will need to change the k frame and torsion bars if u add the 440 and rear gears and drive shaft.
Add sway bars front and rear. I'm fed up with the mopar :violin: got to be correct,
Look at all of the Camaro's that have been modified.  No one *****es about the changes. I go to a lot of car shows and the Camaro's get a lot of attention. There could be 5 or 6 of them. DIme a dozen.
Do u have a built sheet?
Its yours do what u want to it.
