No Power At Ignition
« on: June 30, 2018 - 02:39:18 PM »
Im wiring up my 70 Cuda but cant get any power at the ignition. I looked in the manual an it shows a 15 amp breaker an a 30 amp. I know the 30 is for windows an conv top but what is the 15 for which I don't have in my fuse box. Would that have anything to do with no power at the key Thanks Dirk

No, the power from the ignition is not fused in the box, it uses a fusible link by the starter relay.

I am pretty sure its not something at the fuse box, its most likely the connection under the steering column, check the red and brown wires.

Goes to the ignition side (ignition 1) goes to the ballast resistor.

70chall440 Now its on to putting the glass in. When u put the 1/4 windows in does the track and glass go in first then the regulator or the other way around. There is another track with felt in it where does it go in Thanks Dirk.

As I recall, the guides go in first, then the regulator, then the glass.  I will have to research the felt piece, I remember it but cannot recall exactly where it goes.
