    Steering column options

    Ok, I'm not going to beat around the bush. I have a 1973 challenger and the crush can on the column puts the steering wheel to close. What options are there for a slightly shorter steering wheel adapter. I'm a little sick of my wife using it as a to joyride in the car because I am not really comfortable.

    I changed out the crush can in my challenger to a b body one. Looks the same as what you got. I also wanted more room. The problem it creates is when the wheel gets shorter it also gets closer to your knees. I went back to the old crush can and got brackets to allow the seat to go back further and that was a better option for me.

     I got them at year one, just make sure you have room between the seat and the seat belt spool.  If not you will have to relocate the spool back so the seat can go further back.
