rallye gauge speedo/odometer

I have a 70 rallye speedometer that works but the odometer does not{no change in miles), Anything particular should I look for?  It is also missing the reset knob.  Also is there a update (quartz/electronic) conversion  for the clock? (also missing that knob)

You probably need to get the cluster repair or restored; look at places like Red Line gauges or just google E body instrument cluster restoration and you will get a list of companies that do it.

Yes there is a conversion for the clock, but I think you need to send in the cluster to get it done.

I've had mine out a few times this summer working on an odo reset issue. The pictures are from my spare '72-'74 but the mechanisms are basically the same. Here's what I found. The tension on the vertical spring is critical - too tight and it's hard to reset to zero but all the numbers increment - too loose and only the "1/10th", "ones" & "tens" advance. That spring pushes the plastic pivoting piece forward which is a must for it to work properly. If that piece is too far rearwards then not even the 1/10th will advance. My guess is your spring might be broken or missing.

The reset knobs are readily available from several vendors.

Here's a link to Instrument Services. The '70-'71 rallye clocks use kit R-3035, I've done 3 of these conversions. Keep in mind that these kits are a continuous sweep second hand, they don't "tick"/increment for each second. There might be other kits around, this is the only one I'm aware of.
