Need help with a converter
« on: July 12, 2005 - 03:46:47 PM »
I have a 440HP with six pack rods, MP Purple cam. The trans has been redone with a B&M shift kit but I need help with the stall speed on the converter. It's a 71 Challenger, 440hp, 750DP carb, 3.91 gears, 10.5 to 1, 228/241 @.050, lift .450/.458 cam. Car weight- 3300#. The car will be driven mainly on the street with a few trips down the strip.
What would be my best choice and from whom? Thanks

Our tech Guru Chryco will be able to help with so much as a blink.

Until then I would like to have a guess myself.... IMO 2,800rpm stall.

How'd I do Chryco?  ;D :grinno: :grinyes:
