Broken grill
« on: July 12, 2005 - 04:10:22 PM »

We're removing the lights, bumpers, chrome, and other trim pieces now to dig into the body rust.  Much to my dismay I managed to crack the lower part of the once "near perfect" grill, while trying to remove the front bumper and brackets as a unit.  When I pulled out the grill and laid it on the bench it separated into two pieces, breaking at a narrow section by where the headlight bezel mounts.  :banghead:

Sooooo... what's a good product for putting it back together?  It's some sort of plastic, but I don't want to use a product that will not adhere or might "melt" it.  :???:

There was a thread recently with one of the members working with some new plastic compound that worked great.  I went looking for the thread but was unable to locate it.   :dontknow:  When I find it, I'll post the link!
