I have had some of your being in the right place at the right time in the past.  I am hoping and my son is also that I can come up with either a Barracuda or Challanger for him.

I am a newbee also but I have had a lot of Cuda's and Challagers and a lot of other mopars that I wish I still had.

Take care and if you hear of a good parts car Barracuda I would be interested.  You can see my project on this site under the scopes m46.

Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

I must say, the cars that I have up here don't look the best, but they are fairly solid. The nice thing about winters in the Fairbanks area, is that the state doesn't use salt on the roads....ie....NO ROT FROM SALT!

When I pulled the carpet outta the silver Barracuda, I was surprised.....Most of the floor was almost clean enuf to eat off of....Gotta put a drivers side floor underneath the front, as when I got the car, there was not a window in it....the rain/snow had pooled in that one area, thankfully its just in that one area though......Frame is not rotted, nor any serious bends or twists....The front is tweaked a bit as it appears to have been in a accident at one time. Both rear quarters and tail light panel gone.

I crawled underneath the black one and it is as I got it in 1987....clean, no rot or rusting, drivers side floor has a few pinholes in it, and will be fixed. The front on this one is also tweaked a bit as it appears to have been in a accident at one time. No biggie though.....Right rear quarter needs replacing.

When I got the 383 4 speed car, whoever took the car apart, was a freak (thankfully) about labelling what each part was and labelled all of the screws as well....I can't look at it as a major problem, but as a restoration that is in the beginning stages! Now I just hope that all of it is there or at least easily attainable! I still have alot of work to do in the form of dents, surface rust, and just about everything else, but as 4C said, "but it will probably buff out just fine"!
