How to get upper control arm, outer bolt out?

70 Cuda. Outer bolt on upper control arm... It won't let go. Same on both sides. Tried tapping bolt with a hammer from below, but nope... Tried tapping bolt with a sledgehammer from below, but nope. Scared of breaking something now, so do you guys have any Pro Tip on what to do here?

Just to be sure, you are talking about the cam bolts, the ones with the big off center washers? If so, I don't believe there is any trick other than brute force. I would hose them down with penetrating oil (PB blaster).

If you are talking about the ball joints, the video is the answer.

Thanks guys. I'm refering to the ball joint, I guess. Video is spot on.

On driver side I've taken the inner adjustment bolts out, so that side is just hanging off the ball joint now. I'll prob need the fork thingy for that.

Most will tell you not to use the forks on Mopars (which I agree with); take the nut loose but leave it on a few threads, then using a BFH (big f@#%ing hammer) strike the places shown on the video. The nuts keep it from flying apart. The key is striking the right spot to release the pressure on the ball joint. I have had luck using the ball side of a ball peen hammer to strike the release point on the spindle.

Good advice and may I add one more thing? When you go to hit the spindle as they showed you, put a good sized hammer on the back side of where you're going to clout it. It accentuates the impact by compounding the force.  :cheers:
