Fender Turn Signal Lights on a 70?
« on: October 25, 2018 - 12:22:05 AM »
Wishful in wondering if you could get the Fender Turn Signal Lights on a 70 Challenger?  I took a quick look and didn't see any with them and just wanted to be sure they weren't an option at the time as I really like how they look especially on a no hood pin car.

Hey Charlie, I am south of you in Yelm

I had a 70 challenger once that had the fender turn signals, so I agree. If you look around on the net, you will find pictures of challengers with them I am sure. If the car has a raised hood and has the turn signals, then the hood was added or the fenders replaced.

Ah, now I understand the why and the how given the raised Rallye Hood would block the drivers view and thus they were only factory installed on the flat hood models. I may still put them on my non stock 1970 Rallye car as I really like the look.

Would be great to meet up with you (and all the other Mopar fans) one of these days, possibly at the annual All Mopar Show in Graham, WA.

Oh, and if you get a chance, could you look at my other post regarding how far out the Rallye Exhaust Tips should extend beyond the rear valance?

Thanks all!

I may have some fender blinkers, I think they are off of a 73 Cuda though.

I usually attend the Graham show, so perhaps we will meet up.

I saw your post about the exhaust tips, I also saw a similar post some time ago and the general consensus seemed to be that there wasn't really a measurement. I put mine on my 70 Challenger out probably 3/4 -1", basally you want them out a little to reduce the exhaust soot on your rear valance but not too far out so the look weird.

1970's had no screw on the top, that was '72 - '74. Barracuda and Challenger were different too.
Picture from Parts Book is 1970 Challenger.
