    getting ready to install a fresh 512 six pack in cuda.
    With MSD ignition I have been researching where to install- have read overheating issues in engine bay.
    Read to install under battery box.
    Thinking of passenger side compartment tucked up in front??
    The MSD blaster coil —- I’ve read not to install where the factory location is on engine due to early failure due to heat.
     Appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance

    For the coil, it has to do with mounting positions depending on coil type either oil, epoxy filled or e core type coil. Best to see manufacturers install recommdations. MSD has a coil that can be mounted in stock position. Usually epoxy filled and e core coils can be mounted in any position. Where oil filled usually needs to be mounted vertical.
    For the 6al I like where 1wild R/T mounted his. It’s inside just above ebrake. Looks like he made a flat aluminum mounting plate.

    It’s the anti vibration part# 8222 coil.
    It is not oil cooled and can be mounted in any position. I was more curious if there was any issues with heat causing premature failures. MSD does not talk about that.
    I like the idea mounting box behind e brake.

    If stock location is up front or on side of carb, it should get some air flow and not over heat.
