Look what the transporter delivered yesterday
« on: January 24, 2019 - 01:34:31 PM »
It's an Aston Martin DB5 engine 4.0 L IL6 325 hp with ZF 5-speed. Been looking a long time for one in my price range.  Exactly as described by seller on eBay. :england:

72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

What a sweetie! Now THAT's what I think of when someone mentions Aston Martin! Congrats on finding a nice one, let alone an affordable one.

Not the typical car purchase of a muscle car enthusiast... But extremely cool! I worked on one about ten years back, it was still owned by the original family who've since sold it, when George ordered new he stepped up for a Zagato modified car... Amongst changes made by Zagato was  lexan or possibly Plexiglass to reduce weight which all of was showing micro fractures....

Time to fess up. Forgot to mention this 1965 Aston Martin is 1:18 scale, made by AutoArt. Initially a spoof to fool my lordly brother who attended English boarding school for four years in southern England. The English sense of being made him a bit stiff-necked and his alter ego is 007. Going to keep my aloof brother in the dark.
