Not that the thread ever discussed. Last post from op was 2018 but one from op before that was something like 2013.
Much like my builds.
Speaking of mine. Daughter is now in college and funded. Delayed home repairs are progressing. Hopefully... I can start in earnest this coming year with the cars. Falcon I want done this year for sure so I can sell it. My HOA is starting to track down on non running cars in driveway. Will probably have to put Challenger outside instead so this will become a big motivator.  :swear:

Got it. Sounds like you have a plan at least. I hear you about the HOA thing, prime motivator for me to get the hell out of a community that had them, I live in the country with 5.25 acres and no one to tell me much of anything (an awesome thing). I need to get onto the RR but I have had a lot going on plus it has gotten cold (for here), I have a large space heater which works fine but requires me to put diesel into it which means from time to time I have to and get the diesel, every year I swear I am going to put propane heat in but then never do, someday. Unfortunately I cannot get back onto the RR for a little while, I have to do some actual work (as in the kind you get paid for) even though I am semi retired, this is the non-retired part.... I have to teach a course later in the year overseas and I have to develop all of the classes sooner than later.

Only a few years out from retirement myself. Started another job about a year ago. 3 places in the past 5 years. All planned moves to corral my work load and have family time. 27/3.5/2 and now 1 year. This move is expected to be my last. Have already been promoted (not requested or planned or even desired) but is overall good. Downside is I will have to make a few trips a year into their Mexicali plant and also to China probably once a year. I am now in "charge" of their plastic injection mold builds in China.

And to your point of moving. Wife and I are now considering it.  Never believed it would ever be a consideration.  But California.........

Mexicali... been there, did some work for C brands there.

My "semi" retirement was something that kind of just happened, wasn't really planned but it sort of worked out. I still do some consulting and training work which provides me some additional funds plus I have my military retirement. It all works out fairly well, have to wait to make some larger purchasers at times but all in all not too bad.

I think I have the brake issue narrowed down, going to use 05-14 Mustang brakes, specifically 14 Brembo front calipers. I might use the rear as well but we will see. What I have to decide is rotor size as they had a variety; 11.5, 12.4, 13.2 and 15". I realize the bigger rotor means the bigger wheels which is why I am thinking of using the V6 base rotors of 11.5", they are readily available, pretty cheap and I am thinking will provide enough stopping power for the car seeing that the original drums are like 10".

Not much to report on the car as I have been slammed with alot f things, plus the weather has been not great. I did however take in a 69 wagon that has a 440 6 pack and 4 spd... going to put EFI on it and do the wiring, car is rough but all there, should be fun.

Here you are, supposedly this wagon was bought new by the WA state forestry service. I don't know much more than that but I am told that the 440 in it now dyno'd at something like 700HP which I have my doubts but hey, not my car. My jobs are;

1. install the Fitech Tri-power (6 pack to us Mopar guys)
2. Modify and install the fuel system
3. install the rear disc brakes
4. install front disc brakes
5. install a full wiring harness

I am sure there will be other things to spring up as well. The main issue with the car is that the owner is physically handicapped due to diabetes and he cannot crawl around on the car. He is a life long Mopar guy and has had a lot of them but this one came at a time when his physical abilities are diminished. Additionally, he has had a number of "buddies" do work that he would have in the past done himself, unfortunately these "buddies" were not the most stellar of guys. The guy who put the floor panels in the front didn't shield the firewall insulation which caught on fire along with a number of under dash wires. Another guy went to install the rear disc conversion, got one side mocked up and walked away leaving everything laying about as well as disassembled outside and of course this is WA state where it does rain from time to time, so the brand new brake calipers look like they were salvaged off the RMS Titanic..

Anyway, I felt a bit sorry for him and offered to do these things. To be completely honest, it is a form of procrastination from the RR. Not that I don't want to work on it, its that it is not "talking" to me right now and I am somewhat in a planning and parts gathering stage. Also, doing this wagon I am going to attempt to use the new wiring harness and reuse (or replace) the bulk head connector and try and make the wiring under the hood almost like stock. I am going to replace all of the wires in the bulkhead connector and essentially rewire the entire car.

Wow, there's got to be a story or two there, Mike! A 440 4 spd SW! Surely it never came with that power train? It's cool nonetheless and I wish you well going forward. Also, hat's off for you stepping up to help a man who can't help himself, good on you!

Thanks, I need all the good karma I can get!!!!

The car was originally a 383 4 speed car, very stripped down with almost 0 options but cool nonetheless. I will post the progress when I get to it.

Still no work on the car but I am slowing getting parts, I received the tubular LCAs from HDK the other day, outstanding pieces I have to say, I am very impressed. I also ordered the UCAs, they are cheap ones off eBay but we will see how they work, I might have to modify them or get different ones entirely but it was worth the $80 to find out.

Cool on the wagon. Always have had a soft spot for them.
Everyone needs a breather once and awhile.
Kinda in that now with mine. Falcon has sat for months for same semi burnout issue. Started to refocus on Challenger and pulled a bunch of wiring to retrace and reconfirm correct again for the MS3X swap. My dd is in the shop so daily became my 68 Mustang for the week. Only to find out it has a blown head gasket or cracked something. Blowing exhaust into coolant system. :bricks1:
Now Mustang becomes the focus...
Complaining, but overall not much to complain about because I have them all.

Good luck on the wagon and regaining the drive.
