We will see how it works out. The UCAs seemed to be well made but the ball joints are a bit unknown. I asked the vendor what they were for and they had no idea, so I will take them apart and then see what they look like. I am hoping that they are actually the right joints (as in for a 70 B body); if so will replace them with Moog units.

Its been awhile and while i have not worked on the RR, I have gotten other things done. I finished putting the digital readout (DRO) on my lathe and got my machine shop sorted. I worked on a 14 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner for a friend of my wife; had to do the brakes, put not headlight bulbs in and had to wire in some driving lights.

I also began work on the 69 Plymouth wagon. I decided to do the EFI conversion first after getting the 3rd member out of the rearend (which I am replacing with a 3.91 Suregrip. Without the 3rd member it provided a lot of room. I removed the gas tank (not an easy chore especially since it contained 13 gallons of fuel). So I got it out and discovered that the where it mounts in the rear was all rotted out, so... now I have to fix that and since no one repops anything for this wagon, I have to make it. Fortunately I have pretty much any tool I might need outside a power hammer. Problem is that that the panel is too large to hold and bead roll the reinforcement ribs, so now I am making a table for my bead roller...

Nice bead roller!  Do you have details of it posted anywhere (All MetalShaping, Metal Meet, ...)?

No I don't, it is a heavy modified Harbor Freight unit. I use it quite a bit but this current project requires the table so thats what I am building..

Finally finished bead roller table... came out pretty decent and it allowed me to use my English wheel after TIG welding two pieces of 18 gage together. I wish I had bought one of those years ago..

Thought I would provide a small update; I have not worked on the actual car is quite awhile but it hasn't stopped me from buying parts. Last weekend I order the pistol grip shifter handle and a new Hurst competition plus shifter as well as a mount for the shifter. I am going to be using the non-console shifter mainly because I do not intend to use the factory console and because the console versions are stupid expensive.

I disassembled my $89 upper tubular control arms; mainly just removed the ball joints. I had ordered a pair of Moog K772 upper ball joints for it and went about trying to install them into the UCAs. They required a small amount of clearancing around the bottom of the BJ to get into the UCA but I got them in. Now I just need to get this wagon done and gone and I will be good.

Once again, not much to report on the Wagon or the RR... I suck... LOL just cannot get motivated. That said, I did take delivery of some parts, mainly the pistol grip and shifter, just love that PG...

Parts bought will get you through times of no money or time better than times of money and time and no parts available.

I seem to be doing the collecting of parts rather than installing on projects.

The parts buying is a big part of it too so that's actually like working on it.

So I finally got to building a replacement 3rd row seating floor/foot pan for the wagon, seems to be coming along.

Looks good.  My new shop is getting close to completion. I'll have to investigate a bead roller also.

Thanks, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I discovered that AMD repops the trunk for this car. Turns out it is the same as the trunk of a 66-67 B body, so I had the owner order one. As much as I like doing metal work, it makes way more sense to get an entire trunk floor because there is a fair amount of rust in other spots I would have had to deal with, this will take care of it all in one swoop..
