1970 Aruba Cuda Rebuild
« on: June 01, 2019 - 10:37:34 PM »
Hi all,

Loonnggg time no post!

After life getting in the way for so long, it's finally time to dedicate some TLC to the Cuda...

It will undergo some upgrades I've been wanting to do for so long...

- 4Link upgrade (Done)
- IFS upgrade
- New set of wheels (Done)
- Shortened differential (Done)
- AAR Hood (Purchased)
- Full body restoration

Some pics attached and I will update as I go along...

I know it will not be the build many will like, especially Mopar purist but I'm building it the way I envision it will be in the end.

Body mod will include the addition of a body molded wing (pic attached)

And also does anyone know what type of mirror this is? I'd really like to get a set for the build....

Is it a v or u code?

Excellent build and I totally agree with you about building it the way you want it (I am on project #4 myself all the while doing what I want).

The mirrors look similar to a C7 Vette but I am not sure.
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

In all honesty, I have no clue...and the tags have all been removed from the car now...

It did start life as a 6 cylnders, green color and column shifter car though...

Yes, I have an idea in my mind and am working towards that right now....

Thanks, will look into the mirror ;-)

That looks amazing.
I was finally able to change my stock with new set of wheels and tires thanks to this great package deal I found this week.
