Pretty sure you are not the first guy to press on it and wonder why the horn didn't work.
I had a buddy back in the day, a bit older than me who had worked at our local Dodge and Plymouth dealership. He was telling me how often they would remove rim blow wheels and toss them because the customers didn't like them or they didn't work. I've had a few of them and in fact still have one now hanging on my wall; that damn horn stripe can be a pain to get to work sometimes.
