After market Steering Box
« on: August 22, 2019 - 02:29:56 PM »
Has anyone installed a Borgeson power steering box?  It's supposed to give a firmer feel. I rebuild the front end and replaced the stock steering box (rebuilt unit). The steering is not very responsive and doesn't have the firm steering of a newer car. I know the car (70 Barracuda) is 40+ years old but the current steering feels loose. I appreciate any input.  Thanks

I looked into them when I was doing my Cuda and at the time there were a lot of complaints and issues, some of which I believe have been fixed now. I went with a Firm Feel Stage III on both my Cuda and Challenger and do not regret it even a little. Super firm and response, however I should add that I did install the close ration pitman and idler arms as well.
