2 speed or Variable speed wiper... How can you tell?

    2 speed or Variable speed wiper... How can you tell?

    I read that the 2 speed wiper motor was standard and the Variable speed was an option.  However, it also states that the variable speed motor was mandatory with the shaker hood.

    Can you tell from the dash what motor (2 speed or variable) was in the car?

    On the left side of my ralley dash there is a dial that is labeled "WIPER WASHER".  Starting from the left turning the dial, it clicks once, then clicks again, then smoothly turns about ½ way over until it stops.  Is this a vairiable speed wiper?

       I don't know if one works in place of the other....(bolt pattern?)

                      the pics are of chargers...6cyl,70 Charger & Hemi,69 Charger

                              as far as the switch goes it should say on the dash shouldn't it!   maybe not!?    :dontknow:

    That last pic was a 68 motor, 69 and new are cad platred if they are a 3spd or variable,
    BTW, the only difference is the switch on the 3spd or variable set up.
