70 convertible Plymouth Gran Coupe restoration documentation
« on: January 11, 2020 - 11:39:58 PM »
Hello all,
Would there be a source for a restoration of a 70 Barracuda convertible? Know my B-bodies very well, but need a little guidance when it comes to ragtop Barracuda..

Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is really any definitive resource for E bodies, there are some books and such but nothing I have see is really good. I hate to say it but the forums are probably your best resource. That said, you will find that the B and E bodies are very similar in a lot of respects.
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

Thanks... That was sort of what I was getting at and didn't phrase it properly.. Didn't know if there was a special place here on the Board that focuses on particular parts of a car or someone's full-blown restoration of a ragtop Cuda...

I'll start asking questions in the particular segment, mostly the body section.. Drivetrain, brakes, etc I can probably handle for the most part... The nuisances  of the convertible is the missing-link for me.

ah, sorry I didn't read it that way. I would recommend starting a build thread, post pictures of the car as it is (we love pictures here) and ask any questions you like. There is at least one member I know that has a rag top Cuda (Randy) who is on here and actually checks in once in a while. Most of us click the "new posts" and see what is going on. I can help with most of the car itself but have no experience with a convertible.
