Crank for wiper motor
« on: February 02, 2020 - 12:35:24 PM »
I have 2 broken wiper motors and bought a new.
The 2 old have a outgoing axel that are ~5/8"x3/8" but the new motor has a smaller axel ~ 1/4"x3/8"

Are the new motor from another car or are there different types of cranks ?

Sorry if I put this in wrong place

I could be wrong, but I think the size changed with the years meaning they went to a smaller one in later years. I have seen both but never looked into it enough to determine when/why it occurred

I resized your pic to make it a little easier to see.

And now looking at the pic, it looks like that crank is jacked up, should just be a rectangular slot in the part that goes on the motor I think, I need to go out and look at one to be sure. I have the motor out of my 70 RR, I will check that out for the slot and the stud size.
