unfortunately AMD don't  see door shells, so fix what ya have
used bed liner on inside of skins before installing on shells, pretty good sound deadener and stiffened sheet metal

Wow! Awesome work!  that 71 was Ruuusty!  Looks great now!  That's quite the shop you got there, sure makes it nice to restore some cars with that kinda space.   Thanks for posting up!

That build sheet is great!  Wish I could find one like that.  Super cool find!

I guess with 16,226 miles on it the build sheet holds up pretty good , challenger was stored for at least 35 years
was drag rased with a hemi in it in the 70s orig motor sat in the corner now shes all back how she should be

so I tackled the pre fit of the cuda trim belt, tail panel and vinyl roof moldings and since none of this came on this particular car and it all new metal anyway im at the mercy of aftermarket clips and fasteners, im dead set on the vinyl roof witch many will say don't drill holes in new metal it will leak, I say own a garage and i'll be dead before this car is 50 years old again
so the original door clips don't fit the trim I got from Canada witch I must say the set I got is very nice. the clips they supplied with the push in pin like the factory tail panel trim was never gonna hold or work, tried it, fit it sucked threw it away opted for some studded clips I had for some other moldings it worked perfect except for the fact there is no clearance for the nut and the socket on underside of the top of door. to many layers of metal and the one on the inside had a stiffener bead to it which caused most of the problem, the answer as u can see in the picture is drill a hole threw the door to clearance where the nut needs to be, I will weld on layer back on to fill the holes and that trim is tight down to the door and never moving. sounds like a lot of work but good results usually end up that way, similar problem with vinyl roof trim but just needed to tweek the clips a little to keep them in the center of molding
stuck the grill in for that need a happy feeling and that fit like I expected too so that will be this weeks my arms are killing from sanding need something else to do for a min or 4 hours im sure

Glad to see there is someone worst than me.. Nice collection.

The car is coming along nicely, they all require a lot of tweaking especially when you change as much metal as you have.

grill seems short on both sides mabe 3/8 to 1/2 that's what I like about metal, easy enough to blend in some more if needed
I probably have more than I need but at this point in life who cares, you have your hands full over there too , some nice work
