I am installing the '70 painted sport side mirrors on both doors. The driver's door previously had the smaller chromed mirror. I mounted the sport mirror in the same place as the original and it seems like it will interfere with the glass (I don't have the glass or window hardware currently in the door). How close to the glass are these mirrors placed? Is there more than one mounting location, depending on style of mirror? Thanks-
