    A/C Photos Needed "Factory Correct Appearance"

    Hello lads,


    Needing some A/C photos, mainly of how you have set up one of the main pipes/tubes that comes out of the bottom left front core.
    I have seen photos of it going behind the battery and some other photos of it going down and in front, what is correct?  :???:

    It's not so much the appearance I'm going for but the cleanliness and to keep the bay as clean and "empty" as possible. "Fresh"  ;)

    NZ...........where did you get your new A/C fittings with the copper tubing that attaches to the firewall......... I have a couple of these attached to old hoses but not sure if they can be used........i sure to like the new OEM look about them :wave:

    My resto team had them made by a local tubes speacilist store I think. A lot of the parts in the bay are just sitting there, most of the wires have stickers/labels for reference. Very messy bay at the moment, but it's getting there. Thanks for the compliments.  :thumbs:

    The line should be metal from the Fender tag forward and metal from the dryer (black cylinder on the passenger side) all the way to condenser.
    No rubber hoses forward of the radiator support.

    FWIW:   My condenser entry is topside on the Driverside  and  then Downlow on the passenger side. 



    GoMango, save your original lines, they can have new rubber lines put in them by an A/C specialty shop.   =  "rebuilt"

    Thank you very much Robb, I do remember having this "steel" tube on the car before but wasn't sure if it was correct because the previous owner really used what ever he wanted "just" to keep it running.  :ack:  :-[ Cheap in other words.  :laughing:

    (As you can see my old set up hopefully the steel hose is there that you were referring to)
