Brake booster problems
« on: December 12, 2020 - 04:56:41 PM »
Hi
I have new brakebooster that behaves strange.
With a plugged hose from manifold I have a vacuum at 15 but when I puts the hose on brake booster it drops to 10.
Tested another booster laying on the fender and that keeps 15 all the time.
The boosters look different so the are not the same type.
Sorry but I can't upload any files of some reason
Don't hear any leaks and no reaktion on "starting gas" (don't know if that's the english word for it,lets find out  :clueless: ) is it an internal leak ?

It sounds like something is perhaps wrong internally such as the diaphragm is torn or damaged. Can you disassemble it?  Normal E body boosters can be taken apart pretty easily.

I'ts new so I guess it's some sort of guarantee so I have to sort that out.
Problem is that I live in Sweden and parts are ordered from USA.
But the my gues of broken booster wasn't wrong.
