73 cuda 340 3 speed manual. Unicorn

Hi,does anyone here own a 73 cuda 340  3 speed manual? Would like to see one.

That'd be a pretty rare machine indeed. I remember being at a Plymouth dealer in Mildmay in 1970 and they had a 70 Cuda with a 340 and a 3 speed. It had a larger ball on the stick as I recall and it's the only one I've ever seen. The owner had said to start it up and I remember my surprise when, thinking it'd be a 4speed, I shoved the stick up and to the left and it started to back up!

I agree with Ian, there could not have been a lot of them made. Most people would have opted for the 4 speed. Now a 318 3spd wasn't all that uncommon; I had a 74 Roadrunner with that set up, always thought it was odd why someone would want only 3 gears. Of course that lasted about a week until I had a 4 speed in there.

There were three models of the 3 speed in 2-4.   Floor shift, column shift and column shift h.d. 

69-70 had two more designations, /6 and V8
I own a 71 bh /6, 3 speed.  The car anyway.  I have yet to pick up a correct 3 speed and haven't acquired the white ball yet either.

I also own a 70 383 3 speed manual M46 car.  Now that I think of it, there is a transmission in that car.  I'll have to take a look and see.
