    Best floor mats?

    Hi all

    Looking for front floor mats for my 72 Barracuda.  I currently have LLOYDS carpet mats with the Barracuda logo embroidered on them..a gift back in 2009 from my wife.

    But the drivers side developed a fold across it that makes it dangerous when driving......the driver side ses the most use...the other three mats are like new.....LLOYDS will only sell them in sets......and I do not want to spend $154 just to get ONE mat.

    So I am looking at options.

    Ideas anyone?

    Could you possibly glue a doubler on the bottom of the mat under the crease to hold it flat?

    Thats a pretty good idea....not sure what I would use that wouldnt be too bulky...

    Any suggestions on glue that would actually hold????

    I am thinking of a thin plastic for the doubler and maybe some contact cement  like that used in interiors

    Thinking further maybe something like a flexible cutting board for the thin plastic

    You have my mind cooking now......it would be worth a shot!

    I guess I would also, though, have to find some sort of material to then glue to the plastic so the mat would stay in place ....

    LLOYD's reply, when I contacted them about buying just one new mat (which they said is impossible) was that I appear to be missing the anchors they "include in every set of mats" which require drilling holes into the floorboards.

    First, I never got any...these mats were purchased back in 2009. 

    But second and more important, \nNot sure I want to drill holes into my 100% original and PERFECT floorboards just to keep some mats in place...LOL

    Hell...if I wanted to drill holes in my floorboards I would just drill holes thru the mat into the floorboards and rivet the damn mats down...LOL

    how about this to keep the mats from sliding. sew loops on the end of the floormat nearest the seat and put the loops under the bolts mounting the seats or something similar so it would be easy to remove the mats
