Everyone's experiences are different and some people just fall into certain brands/models. I've always had a love for E bodies (since I was like 14) but until I got my first one they were always hard to find. Once I got that first one (a 74) I started finding them or they found me. As mentioned I did come into some Chargers along the way but again, I was never all that thrilled about them. I had 2 70 GTXs which I liked, one of which was a very cool car 440 4bbl 4spd AG bucket seat, burnt orange in and out with black stipes. I paid $800 for that car around 84 in NC, sold it for $1200 and the guy who bought it got T boned at an intersection totaling the car. I had a AAR that I paid $250 (plus a pistol) for, it never ran while i had it but I sold it for $1200 just before I went overseas in 86.
I love my 70 Challenger RT which was a basket case when I got it. I love my 73 Cuda as well, but my attention has always been more on the Challenger body style. I have had a number of A bodies (was never a big fan), I have a 68 Cuda now that I am not sure what I will do with it. In the past I have had a number of Dusters, 1 or 2 Demons, a 65 Dart GT, etc. I have even had a Dodge Colt at one time (complete POS). I've had a variety of Roadrunners; a 69 383 AT, 70 (the one I have now) and a 74.
The one car that I had that I still think about was a 67 Satellite 383 4spd B5 ext with black interior. I paid $150 for it at a Chevy dealership around 77 or so and I loved it but a sequence of events transpired that ultimately destroyed the car (which I regret). I had the chance to buy a 67 GTX about a year latter but it didn't work out. I have always wanted to find another but never really worked on it all that hard.
so much for the memories...
