I wonder if you're thinking about Rev-It-Up (Laura) and Redline (Chris).

That's exactly who I thought of as well . . I just don't think Ross has much interest in the site anymore.

The nice thing about the other site is all money made from the site goes back into the site and or to the members.  There is currently a few thousand dollars available and we are planning to use it at Carlisle this year in some way.  Larger tent, maybe a lunch special at the tent, possible paid dinner for members?  We are looking for ideas on how to spend the cash . . .

LugNut will be retiring "soon" from work, then will start making progress again on projects, including the 'Cuda!  Have been enjoying/cringing at the Graveyard Carz show in the past few years, since my cable company added that channel.

I too am sad to see this site's decline.  But have just registered over on ebodies.org, so will go there a lot too in the "soon"-future, as I get back to restoring the beast.  Starting again to buy parts, though.

There isn't a lot of things here but it is what it is I guess. I think if they would fix the picture deal traffic would increase.

agreed.
if I look only at post counts, febo is beating ebodies.org average post count now.  Many more posts daily to look at.
Just sayin.

Yeah that would be it

Its interesting, I started out here, then Cody started his site and I went there briefly and then concentrated more here, then this place took a dump and now I am on FEBO daily. The problem is that IMO Cody's site is more for purists and flippers where as FEBO has more wannabe purists and ALOT of sellers of parts and a few hotrodders. Most of the hotrodders (like myself) hung out here until this place essentially died. I prefer this site but without pictures or the ability to easily post them it is difficult to really do much here.

Funny, Mike, I started the opposite way. I joined FEBO in 2013 and then found and basically moved over to here, only to have the rug pulled out from under me when Ross and Cody had their falling out. With the subsequent gradual withering here. I spend most of my E bodies web time on Cody's site , but I can't just let this place go either. A damned shame no matter which way you cut it. Just for the record, I'm neither a purist nor flipper, but I do see what you mean.

Don't get me wrong, there are some great people on Cody's site but it was/is pretty heavy slanted towards restorations over other types of builds. Not that they are shunned or shut down per se but they tend to catch some heat or at least did. FEBO seems to be more new buyers/owners trying to put together what they see all the "big boys" on TV doing, trying to build a concourse resto but most have no clue what they are doing.

It's true that ebodies.org has more purists on it.  I think there are a lot of big big names in the mopar world on cody's site, but they mostly keep quiet. It's a very mature site.
I enjoy febo because of the non restoration crowd and parts for sale.

I feel it's important to have multiple sites for information.  I would like for Cody to eventually buy this site from Ross and archive the many wonderful conversations and information from the past in a useable productive way.

Not going to happen here unfortunately.

I like cars.  Pure cars to absolute road warrior cars.  Yal know what crappy cars I have.  Burn the tires off, regardless.

I think we are all in agreement and I don't mean to say that I dislike "pure" cars, restored cars or survivor cars but in most cases they don't interest me very much. I respect what it takes to make one and I think that is the draw for many, the hunt for the date correct, condition, markings, parts and good on them. What I take issue with is the crowd that gets their panties knotted up any time someone is talking about building something different or moving away from stock. Its like you get this snub, nose upturned and outrage from that crowd to the point that some view these cars as holy relics. I suspect that the real hardcore of this group probably have 1 car that they stumbled onto or were able to finance it and now feel that they need to worship it. The G2 Charger crowd is starting to get a but preachy... I'd love to find a old G2 Charger race car and make a street bruiser out of it.

"I'd love to find a old G2 Charger race car and make a street bruiser out of it." I knew there was a reason I liked you. The chalk mark brigade isn't fond of me either, because I figured that if the car was mine, then I'd do pretty much whatever the hell I wanted to- and I did. You're right Mike that I could afford only one car, but I scarcely worship it. LOL

Right on!!! I've had G2 Chargers in my past and really never paid them a lot of mind. My favorite has always been Challengers, followed by 70 Roadrunners and then everything else. I always like the RR over the Charger (70 model year) specifically due to the air grabber hood. I once had a 70 charger RT that I think was a V code car, was yellow with a 4 speed but I got it without an engine and sold it quickly. I like the 70 Charger the best out of the 68-70 line but thats mainly because of the pistol grip. I could put a PG in a 68 or 69 and like it just fine.

I never liked the G3 Chargers all that much, I had a 71 back in the day that was a 383 AT B5 (in and out) that I beat on pretty hard. I did not like the long ass hoods on them, however when I came into the 71 I have now I started looking at them closer and with the rallye hood (and air grabber) along with the pistol grip I warmed right up to them.
