Hi everyone. I got my self a project and it needs final installatian. 71 barracuda with hemi crate, tremec tko600, keisler kit with willwood 0.75 masterpump, single line to slave cylinder. Borg&beck pressure plate, not sure about the spec but there is many fingers and not three. Do not know anything about the clutch.. the slave cylinder moves about 1/2 inch so i think the breathing is ok. But the problem is the clutch pedal is extreme stiff! The firewall almost bends.. any suggestions? Is the pump to weak or do i have the wrong pressure plate? -Thanks

There is supposed to be a reinforcement on the firewall for the clutch action. The "many fingered" clutch sounds like a diaphragm style pressure plate rather than a B&B style and they're supposed to require less effort, rather than more effort. I'd call or email both Keisler- who I believe is out of business and Wilwood, who are not, and discuss your setup with them. Sorry, best I can do.  :cheers:

You have to use a diaphragm clutch (the one with many fingers) when you run a hydraulic clutch.

I agree that if your clutch master cylinder in bolted to your firewall that area needs a reinforcement plate. Understand that however much your firewall is flexing that amount of force is being subtracted from the mount of force/movement needed to operate your hydraulic throw out bearing.

Many of the "bolt on" hydraulic clutch systems do not work well mainly because the pedal ratio is incorrect and not effective. The stock clutch pedal is designed to push on a rod that is going down through the firewall at an angle, however many of the bolt on clutch master cylinders bolt essentially straight in front of the clutch pedal which does not facilitate a full stroke via the pedal.

Ok, Thanks everyone, i contacted silversport transmission and they say i need a support bracket from the pump and down on the frame. My brother will fabricate this for me, i will also add a bigger plate inside on to the firewall. Plus i changed the angle a bit on the Axle from pedal into the pump. Hope this will help..

it looks like i have i diaphragm clutch.
