Steering shaft collapsed and believe ignition switch bad.
« on: June 12, 2021 - 04:42:23 PM »
Have a 71 challenger and the plastic pins in the steering shaft must be broke as the shaft will slide up and down in the car.  I am wanting to replace the ignition switch and turn signal without pulling the column.  It already has a new joint on the other end and new bearing at the base so I just need to replace wiring.  What is the down side to having broken plastic pins.  It collapses.  Is there more slop in the steering?
