I noticed that Chally in the background of Boyd's shop too, and it caught my interest... a friend of a friend is involved with that show, and keeps promising to take me over to meet Boyd and check out the shop... don't worry, I'll bring the camera!
The one thing about Boyd is that he does do what the customer wants, as opposed to Foose who ALWAYS puts a "two-tone" paint job and his own wheels on the car, shaves handles, etc. Every Foose car that I've ever seen looks just like every other Foose car... talk about a one-track mind! But we've all seen Boyd do cars that were accurate replicas of vintage rods (the blue Hillebrandt roadster) as well as modernized, chopped up cars (like the Impala). So if I had to pick, I'd rather see Boyd do a Chally than Foose, especially after seeing how ricey Chip made that Overmauled Chally look... :ack:
