Hi all Newly registered here.
From Staten Island, N.Y.
had my first challenger in 1985 340 Rallye car B5 blue, totaled in 1987 ricochet off of 3 telephone poles by a friend in Long Island.
Always wanted to replace it. Finally in Jan of this year I found one in oyster bay NY.
It was a 1973 Rallye B5 blue white top white interior, 318 with ac and 904/3.25 suregrip rear. Car also had a column shift.
I immediately began the task of drilling out the trunk lock because I had no keys. Inside I found a hoard of great parts. (CONSOLE-SLAPSTIK-STEERINGCOLUMN-A/c COMPRESSOR. The gauges were from 71-72 Rallye 8k tach clock , 5 speaker set up. Bucket seats from 72 inside great bones. Trunk was rusted out, floors were solid. I was missing fender tag but all cowl, vin and numbers on body and title matched. So this is my almost finished project. Now has 360 5.9 Magnum, 727 transmission 355 sure grip Espo springs 1” over stock 15 inch magnum 500s, new headliner, lagendary seat foam and upholstery, sound deadening on floors, new carpet, antique auto radio amfm/Bluetooth looks original, new fenders AMD front valence and rear valance, dual exhaust with flow master 10s. Great project I just keep going just sharing as much up front.
Spending life building cars for fun (RETIRED) be blessed
