Yeah, when I came up with the idea, I was saying to myself "Are you insane?"But I can't come up with any other idea to get that ball pivot point to tighten up a little.I would recommend using some really old, weak, radiator water if you can get it.I have the same problem on my racing mirror.

I bought a pair of non mopar cheap mirrors at auto zone for $24, already painted a perfect semi gloss black. Put the pass side mirror on the 74 cuda and it looks just as good as the original drivers side which is also painted. From 5 feet (ok maybe 10) you cant tell the difference from original. But then my cars just a rat rod anyway. Cant see paying 450 dollars for a mirror. just a thought.
Actually I have been trying to buy a real pass side mirror on ebay and cant believe the prices. I think my fake is going to remain for along time.
