You won't believe this, I purchased my 70 440+6 Cuda in 1974 for $850.00....Still got it and it has all of the original metal, dash pad is perfect and the headliner is even the original. When starting the resto a few years back I found a badly deteriorated plastic bag full of mary jane under the dash (it wasn't mine). It had been riding with me for many years!! My 72 Cuda 340 cost a bit more at $1100.00 plus an old dirt bike (did not run) in 1978. Still got that one too but it needs lower quarters. The most I ever paid for a Cuda was a 70 HemiCuda with 6K actual miles back in 79. I paid $3600.00 and sold it about a year later for $5K... Boy do I wish I still had that one.....Hindsight is 20/20 all day long.....

We just paid $8500.00 (canadian dollars) for our 73 Challenger.  Drove it home, and runs great.  Now it is being painted, as someone had painted it black and gold (ewwww) and had a sunroof in it.  Still think we didn't pretty good, considering what they are going for now.

I paid off a loan of about $1700.00 for the last owner of my '72 Challenger and basically gave him a 1995 Plymouth Neon (it was worth maybe $1000) in 2002.

I paid $6K (Cdn) for my '73 Cuda 340 4 speed.  It had been professionally painted and had new seat covers as well as many new parts.  Some assembly required as the motor was in pieces and the interior was gutted.  I have bought  ;Dnew tires, wheels, dash, rechromed bumpers, rebuilt 4 speed, etc. and now have $14K into it.  Engine assembly will run another $3K.  I'm happy.
