Keep looking but try not to expect too much from a blind date.Stay away from the girls who are caught up in the looks, money and attitudes.Like everyone has said just be yourself and you will find someone you honestly likes you for who you are.

 :iagree: :iagree: :iagree:

wish I took this advice when I got married, I would not be in the boat I am in.
But, there is this girl now, named Angela....21........no kids........5'2"...........110..............dark skin.................way way hot!

Yup!

dont let it get to ya! The right one is out there somewhere.............I think.

Torredcuda,

Hello and thank you for the advice. I noticed you wrote to stay away from women who are caught up in looks, money, and attitudes. Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, I just got through a Psychology Class and one of the topics we covered in their was likin' & lovin' amongst people. There was surveys and studies done that the two most important things women tend to look for a in a partner are 1) Looks or physical attraction characteristics. Now, those characteristics vary widely from person to person as obivous. The second item that women tend to look for is honestly how much money you have or lack there of. Studies shown that the more money you have the better tendency you have to find a potential partner. Women look at the money as a shelter for them in a sense because you can provide with the money a roof over the head, food on the table, misc things for them, and most of all things for the kids.
Anyways, there was a small percentile that said it didn't matter. In addition, if you look on http://www.msn.com and read some of the article about relationship problems you'll see that financial problems was more at the top of the list. So the truth of the reality, at least based on studies have shown that majority of women look at looks and money as two primary factors in partners. Just thought I would share that interesting tidbit.

dodgetkboy78, congrats on the new woman in your life. Hope it works out for you. Take care.

that is just it see, she aint the new woman in my life! I am just being a friend...and making her do the relationship part. See, I learned something, if you make it they're idea, it is a great idea! If it is yours, well, its not good enough. Just find one that chases you, and you will be set!
As far as the money issue? Most women still have that built in man is the provider thing. Hell, I dont mind, as long as I can provide, and not have to come home, vacuum the floor, cook dinner, and all she did was watch soaps. But, If she can take care of the house? It is great! Most women think looks is most important? Huh, like we dont?
OK, not, dodgetkboy78's girl getting tips!!!!!!......

act confident, maybe even a little concieted, dont overdo it, might even blow it a few times before you get it right

Act like you could have ANY women, but would rather have her.  (like you CHOSE her!)

CLEAN YOUR VEHICLE!

keep over 100$ in your wallet, and dont flinch at th edinner bill, let her know you aint rich, but she is worth it.  (sacrifice?)

Always get gas after you pick her up, and ask her if she wants anything

open the door when she is getting in the car, not out.

when being seated in a restaurant, lead her to her seat, with your hand on her back, right above the pant line, dont go to low! And dont shove her either! she can do the walking.

Dont wait for her to eat, you will make her nervouse

and, drive like a sane person! If you take your car, dont show her how fast it will go, unless asked!  then, LET HER RIP!

always walk after dinner, in a quieter place, we have a built in relaxing mode after we eat a good dinner, and walking make us feel "relaxed"

And, let her talk, dont interupt, and look in her eyes! save the boob gawking for when she is not looking.

and, if you find a snot? Do a NZ, make a ass of her, becasue she deserves it!

Thanks dodgetkboy for all the advice. I've already did some of that but, I'll have to keep the other things in mind as well. As for the moping around I'm not. A little disappointed absolutely but, last night I went out with a couple of female friends and had a lot of fun so it's all good.

Interesting survey.Of course how someone looks is the first thing we usaully notice and there is nothing wrong with wanting a partner who is financially secure. It just looks and money shouldn`t be the only thing someone is looking for.

You both made me go and read the whole thing again!  lol   Relationships can be very challenging . . but usually you get out of them, what you put into them.  Finding someone that it compatible with you is very important in the search and then treat them as you expect to be treated.       Go from there!!

I agree with you 4C... to a point,
then I get dumped because they find out I am mute.    Hey, to be honest, I would like to know if any of you have been dumped more than me. NOT that I would be proud of that!!!!!  I guess I need to stay clear of those women with standards.

6pak thanks for the advice but, in the case I just let it be. She hasn't called me or bothered me so I'm not going to bother her ya know. It was an experience to live and learn by so that's my story and I'm sticking to it. But, I do have some stories about my ex I could tell you later on what I had to do to get her to leave me alone. You'll probably think I'm kind of bad but, anyone that wants to know I'll fill you in on the details.
