Wow JS, if you wanted to stump the dummy, you did it with me. I would guess a thermo contraption of some type, looks like some kind of thermo bulb but not sure for what.  :dontknow:

If we had the demensions on it that might help. Judging from the picture next to that tag and wire, it appears to be about 1" by 2"  :dontknow:  I'm still trying to figure it out.  :thumbs:
