I like the flat hoods...Gives it a real sophisticated/understated look.  I would run one, especially a lightweight fiberglass one but all my cars are either real 'CUDAs or A-51 Barracudas.

I am toying around the idea about making one ;)

I went from flat hood to R/T Hood recently.

The car looked lower and sleeker with the flat hood , from the sides.

R/T hood, to me, looks meaner from the front though.

I was kinda torn over which I like better, but now with a 440 and Street Dominator manifold, I need the extra clearance of the RT hood anyway.

Thanks for the reassurance.
It was just that I was beginning to feel the way my 12 year old daughter feels around her slightly older friends!  ;)
I love the way the scoop hoods look, but the flat are getting rarer and rarer so maybe I won't have to spend the $$$$ to change over!

After mentioning in a thread on another board i will be going 6pak, i got about 3 pms asking what i would want for my flat hood for a shaker repop....which is a good sign to hang onto it in my opinion when i do change the hood :driving:

I have a flat hood, (sitting on my home-made hood stand) But I ran across the rallye hood and could pass it up.  I really like the look of the flat but the rallye gives it a little more muscle look since I can't show it with my little motor.

Not to worry I have a flat hood on my 73 Barracuda and I dont plan on putting a rally hood on it.  I think E bodies look great with any hood, flat, rally, aar, shaker, t/a.

Burpin bought a flat hood and it should be here in a week or so. burpin will cut a hole in it and have a nice air intake showin but eventually burpin will make it into a shaker.
