just my luck
« on: August 07, 2005 - 06:42:59 AM »
after 3 days of negotiation, numerous emails and phone calls about a 74 I thought it was set. The wife and I jump in the truck, hit the bank and on the interstate we go. Called the seller, said we'd be there  but its about a 6 hour drive. With less than 90 miles relaining the cell rings,   ummmmmmm hello Doug,  "yes"   ummmmmm someone western unioned me some money,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
we turned around i was kinda sad, wife said its ok, so the search continues :coffee:

That sucks man.  :banghead: The owner should have told the "Western Union guy" that he had someone coming over to view the vehicle.
Did the seller know how far you had to travel?  :dontknow: :-\ Even if he wanted to have a secure and definite buyer if the western union guy was that keen the seller should have told him if the sale didn't pull through with you, the car was his.  :(

Oh well, the car wasn't meant to be. Everything happens for a reason. Good luck with your remaining search.
