new member to the site but always looking in
« on: August 08, 2005 - 10:05:02 AM »
I am a newbie i guess, been around the east coast new york, new jersey, long island area... I have a 71 cuda shaker 340,owned it since 1987 since i was 16 years old, repainted from it's original color of in violet to candy apple purple to it's color now of black cherry, chromed the front and rear suspension and everything that unbolts including the driveshaft...note...do not chrome the shaft...it gives a violent shake after 20 mph...it hangs on the wall now...340 solid lifter cam, manuel reverse trans, 4:86 rear,shaker,go-wing,bench bucket seats, column shift..now on the floor with a b&m pro-stick,rim-blow wheel, roll and pleated interior,50's in the rear,60's in the front...the car looks the same today as it looks back then...old school...doesn't get the 1st place or the 2nd place trophys anymore...sometimes able to squeeze out a 3rd nowadays....it had a photo shoot with High Performance Mopar back in 1989...but they folded....never made it in the magazine...I have a new project, 70 barracuda convertible, bought it out in east islip long island new york,318 six barrel, aar hood and spoiler,magnums,automatic....wish i hadn't got rid of the parts from the 71...the price on parts now are out of this world...building this car back in the 80's was great..the parts were still available from mopar at s&w dodge in ridgewood, queens, new york...enjoy the pics, sorry for the large pics...see u at the shows...mopar to ya!

Welcome aboard your car certainly sounds fun!! If I had the power to go into your post and re-size your photos I would.
One of the moderators will be here soon to resize them.  ;)

Glad you finally said hello and stopped keeping that car to yourself!!  :nono:  ;D

Cheers,
Carl
