Strange find
« on: August 08, 2005 - 01:05:55 PM »
72Chall77Doba  Had this to say on another post and it made me think.........................................

After reading this thread, I checked under the seats, behind the seatbacks, in the trunk, and everywhere else that was mentioned but nothing.
Then I looked in the glove box..............................
still nothing, lol.
But then I checked behind the glove box and guess what was taped to the back of the glove box-
a joint and a little bag containing 2 rorer 714's
That's right, more powerful than a 426 hemi.
A 714, make that 2 714's
Quaalude
I hope it's still good.
What a country
Time to fire it up, put on the 8 track of the Doors, and take a step back ion time.
Manana all.

Whats the strangest thing you have found in a car you went to restore?

Well, I wasn't restoring it, but how about the homecoming queen and my best friend in the back seat of my 'Cuda in a "compromising position" in the parking lot of the H.S.?
There were footprints on the rear 1/4 glass I left on for quite a while just to remind her of her romantic evening.

Never found anything good though, not even a build sheet.  :gripe:

We didn't find anything terribly interesting...1/2 of a buildsheet and a lot of corn in the air cleaner (dern chipmunks).

Pixie found about $1.00 in change, some grocery coupons from the early 80's and a harmonica in her duster.

Jimmy Hoffa's body was in my trunk.

 Seriously,
Nothing much exciting, but this one tid-bit. I was running the wiring for the rear speakers. I removed the scuff plate along the driver's side to run the wires besides the rear wiring harness for the tail lights. Low and behold, I found an old wheat penny there. The back was kinda spray painted plumb-crazy purple, which was the original color of my car.  :D

Cleaned untold number of mouse mummies out of a 70 cuda 440-6 I restored a few years back, including about 3 lbs of mouse debris and bodies out of one of the mufflers.

Found an empty bottle of Jack Daniels and some unused condoms in the back of a 71 383 cuda.

I have a '74CUDA in storage that had several used needles under seats ect
So I know what you say, "big deal, maybe the guy was a diabetic"

No I don't think so.... I also found several sp00ns with a baked on chrystal substance on them :grinyes:

The guy had great taste in cars but he had some bad habits.. I heard he got out of jail a couple of years ago :outtahere:
