Goody, that sounds awesome!  Were you running that exhaust system before you rebuilt the motor?  I ask because the way your car sounds now is exactly the sound I'm looking for.  So I'm curious to know if it is the cam or the exhaust system or both that makes it sound that way.  Let me know.

I was running the same exhaust system before i rebuilt the motor - Heddman Headers - Then its 3" Aluminized - H-Pipe, Then to 2.5" Flowmaster Super 40series Mufflers i got off ebay for $147 shipped (pair) and dumped before the rear w/turndowns. :wasted:

Thanks! Now its definately unexpected when they ask and i say its a 318  :guitar:

So Goody, from the recording it sounds like the exhaust has a little bit of a tin can sound (which I like!).  Did your car sound that way before the engine mods or is it due to the cam change, I know the lope sound is due to the cam.  I like that tin can sound and I'm trying to figure out if I need to switch out my exhaust or I need to do a cam swap.  Also, what are your cams specs?

Thanks

They sure do barreely touch when the rear end is dangling and the springs have no weight on there

Though I didn't get a chance to hear it (darn dial-up connections) I checked out your cam specs......That definitely seems like it'd be a throaty cam for a 318 with the lift you have. :grinyes:
