    Yup, still have the Torino, I bought it for my dad a few years ago.
    Just about done with it, it's in the shop for a new clutch....... the 429 ate the last one.

    lol id say so those 429 are pretty stout! my buddy has a 67 galaxi with a 429 its a dang stout car!! he selling it to paint his fairlane cobra!! I love those 69 fairlane / torinos! thats my favorite non mopar car!! not to mention the 428 cobra jet is the best non mopar engine ever made so its a good combo!!

    Besides having slightly less power then the Hemi, I wouldn't trade it for any other truck. I work in the oildfield here in Alberta and I've been in/test drove every truck on the market. The ford drives great and the interior is fantastic.  I have 60K on it and the only problem I had was a turn signal. Not to mention the stereo is comparable to after market.  My next truck will be a diesel though, not sure what make.

    i wouldnt buy no diesal!! diesal fuel is more expensive! the option itself is 5000 dollars and there more expensive to fix! not to mention they dont get much better fuel mileage than a gas!

    I do a lot of hard driving with my job, and I charge $1.00/km for my truck, so its all a right off and they do last longer. But I'll see how the half done treats me, I'm scared to sacrifice the ride, it drives like a caddy.

    well maybe so but our compony truck is a 2001 dodge cummins 2500 slt laramane its nice but they paid a crap load for it and it broke down last week and it cost 1700 buck to fix it!!

    And it will always be worth much, much more than a gas truck of comparable age and mileage.

    My 2500 Ram Cummins turbo diesel gets 23MPG on the highway...my old 1500 Ram 360 got 17. Towing with the old truck (open trailer) best hwg mileage was 12.5. The diesel gets 15-17 towing a much heavier and way more aero drag 22 foot enclosed trailer. If you are going to do more than the occasional tow, I'd recomend the cummins any day. Resale value is WAY better than the gas engine, and the dependability is legendary. I'm a diesel convert, thats from my personal experience.
