That's a good question.... is the sequence # for individual plants or for total # cars built by Dodge/Plymouth?

It is possible.
Each plant started at the VIN sequence at 100001 each model year, so for 1970, LA and Hamtramck could have had cars that had the same engine and VIN except for the plant code.

The rt I'm working on 3/5/70 I believe... looks like the motor was stamped 12/5, seems kind of far parts, but it matches.
