X pipes?

what would be the best choice for my car?  mechanically its a 383, bored .040 over with a performer intake, 780 electric holly, headers, ignition, and coil.  but i just dont think the 2 inch duals are cutting it very well.  so i was thinking about going to an H pipe system, at about 2.5 inch with borlas.  i just wanted to know what you guys thought would be best for my ride, for driving, it does about 2900 rpm most of the time (highways) but its a muscle car so it needs to be strong off the line as well.  i was also reading and i read that x pipes are better?  so right now, its just up in the air (along with where the money will come from).  any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2.5 inch H-pipe exhaust system on my red chally and I am happy with it. As you stated and I have also read, the x pipes are supposed to be better.  I'm going to be in the market for the exhaust for my white chally in the next month or two so I'd also be interested in the answer. Right now I'm leaning toward the x-pipe.

I was thinking about a full TTI system but they are big $$$.  I just got a price on a Dynomax system and it is half the price!  The 2.5" I think is plenty big enough for a street/strip car IMHO

My dad just put on a stainless Magnaflow X-pipe system (p/n 15851) on his Challenger. It is a beautiful system and sounds/performs great. In fact, I loves his exhaust so much that I have already bought one for my car. However, there is a downside.....the system is far from a simple bolt-in....so if you are interested in going that route then make sure you have a welder, cutter, flanger, and the patience to make it all work.

That's what I have, looks good but car has yet to be cranked over (Resto).

2" tti headers with 2-1/2" collectors, ceramic coated with thermal barrier insides.
2-1/2" tti exhaust with X-Pipe.
Borla Super Turbo mufflers.
2-1/2" Exhaust tips.

There were others who had ordered magnaflow pipes for their cars and they were gonna check in and let us know how they worked..........   they are supposed to be stainless steel and i like that idea for sure.......i see one feedback.    But I would like to hear from others.      Isnt the Magnaflux system somewhere in the mid $400 range?

i have a friend who said he can get me a couple borla mufflers for 160-210 for a pair depending on what i get, is that a good deal?
