Thanks Widing, Me and my brother got 4 pages.
Anyways time for an update! This is what I've been up to for the past couple of months!
I installed the front suspention, all new ball joints, new KYBs, poly brushings, HEMI .92 torsionbars, and boxed LCAs pretty much sums it up.
Finally got the quarters on, boy have I waited for this! They where from goodmark and fit was "fair".
After the quarters came on I took the car to bare metal, Do it once, do it right.
The bodywork has startet, first step was to cover the lead in bondo.
Here is my car and my buddys 1978 Ford Capri project. This is about two weeks ago.
First layer of primer!
It's comming along!
Here we are sanding the primer, trying to get the small dents. I owe a big thanks to this guy, Roger. He helped me alot, and he saved me alot of money too!
Secound layer of primer, and black out paint!
The cowl got to be black to! I'm putting on an AAR hood.
My brother and a friend is looking over the result after wet sanding the primer with 800 grid paper. The old Willys WWII vet is looking out the gate too.
All taped and masked up! This was yesterday evening.
This morning, paintday!
The first green hit the 'Cuda.
Done! Colour is Nissan Apple Pearl Green. Clear coat next!
The result was stunnig! The effect of the paint does not transfer to the picture.
Assembly next. I feel the urge to put some miles on it!
We put the doors and fenders on. This was earlyer today, 11 july.
Even if the lid, doors and fenders where painted a half year ago, and by a different shop, the colour matched perfectly!
The car is not running, so we had to trailer it to the location where I'm gonna assamble it. This is the only time my car will ever be on a trailer, It will be driven!
The only car that we had that had a towhitch was the Taxi that my brother drives. Both myself and my brother and Roger are taxidrivers.
Time to get of that trailer. The taxi is a Mercedes-Benz E270CDI. Great car. First airing for the 'Cuda in 9 or 10 months I think.
This is where my Barracuda will be living for the assembly process. It's a bit out on the countryside where we can get some peace to work.
Stay tuned! and sorry you dial-up guys, hope it was worth it!
