First Cuda... First restore...
« on: September 22, 2005 - 01:34:09 PM »
I am just getting started and super excited to begin working on the car. I will have Pics later, have not taken any yet. I will be needing lots of help tracking down vin numbers due to missing parts and rust. The car is a 1970 Cuda lots of rust but I can see the true beauty of the car. Great site lots of info hope to learn from you all. Thanks Richard

Welcome to the board!  Would love to see pics when you get them.  We just finished our first project and I can tell you, there will be some very exciting points and then some times you'll just want to kick anything nearby!  But, keep at it!  It's all worth it in the end.  We went from this to this....you can do it too!

It's rough I know but I will not stop. I have always wanted a 1970-71 Cuda, so now I have one, I now want to be able to drive one.

I shop 2 places . . . the internet and major mopar show swap meets.  Of course the shows are usually the best place cause you can see the part first hand and leave with it but sometimes the prices are stupid.  Use caution and buyer beware with the internet.

Hi Sal, how are you!   Welcome, there's lots of nice people here with lots of info and knowledge.  Have fun with your project.  You look like you have the determination to do it!

This car looks like the car Devil was selling (Car #2 of 3).

Definately like 4c said, watch out for the stuff off the internet!  Sometimes thing get left out of the description.  Ask LOTS of questions.  It's one of those "If you don't ask, I don't have to tell you" things sometimes!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
